08.12.23 Outdoor Film screening with live dubbing and an on-site talk on Thai leisure culture amidst social changes

The research cluster in collaboration with MU Cultural Quarter project has organized an outdoor film screening with live dubbing and an on-site talk in collaboration with the Thai Film Archive on the Thai lesisure culture through outdoor screenings post-pandemic.


Detective China Town (2015) in a live dubbed version along with archival footage provided by the Thai Film Archive of old film trailers and musical scences which were filmed in the Cold War era were appreciated by students and staff. The discussion also highlighted the return of this Cold War film culture post-pandemic with a series of screenings in Bankgok led by the new Bangkok governor and his team and various partners.
