After our five-year run 2019-2024 under the directorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr.Morakot Meyer, RILCA has a new management, and we are glad that the idea of the research cluster is continuing, although with a year gap of no funding. In 2025, our co-founder, Dear Aj. Narong has also retired, so we kept informally talking about running a film screening with another budget, but that didn't materialize. We are grateful that under the new management, the research cluster activity is now backed with financial support to run this website (after a year of self-financing) and a networking and social gathering event. We are also pleased to welcome new members Dr. Matthana Rodyim (who is interested in geopolitics and culture) and Dr. Kullanit Nitiwarangkul (who is interested in gender, ageing, and media representations) to join our research cluster. For the upcoming event on 10th of August, we also open up the space to a wider community of colleagues in Mahidol who are interested in similar kinds of topics in reseach and teaching. We hope it will be a fun and fruitful event that leads to creative ideas, funding, and more activities in the future!
